Insomnia however, isn't ok. |

| | Lots of RHCP | ] | Well let's see. Things are going very well.
I start a job at an Xbox cafe in a week or so. I'm moving out with Caitlin into an apartment on top of a travel agency in July. I joined a ball hockey league and it's keeping me in good shape and is fun to boot.
Still playing in two bands. One is much more fun than the other and will inevitably last.
I'm straight-edge except for the meds that allow me to leave the house and be social. Me social. Weird. As a result of that I now have some really great friends.
I really can't remember when life has been this good. |

[Feb. 28th, 2006|05:55 pm] |
Well, my band won the first round of BandWarz on Saturday. We're pretty good, so it's onto the final in about a months time. The prize is a thousand bucks, new equipment, and recording time for a demo and some other crap. I believe we have a good shot.
I've gotta get my set home to practice until then.
I'm going to be unstoppable. |

| | Propagandhi - True | ] | I notice a lot of people I know, mostly younger people tend to gravitate towards the left. This gives me hope that sometime in the near future when more of us become politically engaged and the old timers who probably fear the advancement of civil rights the most.. pass on, the NDP's fortunes will look even brighter.
Not that they don't look good now, but it could be so much better than it is.
Also, the urban vs. rural vote stats caught my eye.
Now forgive me for stereotyping here, but one thing I have noticed is that people living in or near a city tend to be a little smarter than country dwellers. Maybe smarter isn't the word I'm looking for, maybe it's knowledgeable, or educated, or tolerant.
I am in no way trying to offend anyone here, so please keep that in mind.
Things may not look so great with Mr. Harper and his morons right now, but I think as long as many students stick to their guns and realize they can make a difference things will get better.
Canada's not so near future looks pretty good, to me. |

| | Propagandhi - Natural Disasters | ] | As I wake up, I realize what has just happened.
Canadians, well mostly Albertans, have elected Stephen Harper to be our Prime Minister. The very man who called Canada a "European welfare state in the worst way" and who if it were up to him, would've sent Canadian troops into Iraq.
Now in no way was I a huge Paul Martin supporter, but he did do some very good things. Mostly his work to evolve and protect human rights, particularily gay and lesbian rights. The proposed child-care program, which may now never see the light of day, thanks to Mr. Harper, and the talk of decriminalizing Marijuana and instituting a pharmacare program come to mind. To be fair, Jack Layton did force Martin to improve upon some things, mainly the budget and the push for child care, pharmacare and so forth.
The Liberals were by no means perfect, and even (I dare say) too conservative with Health Care funding.
Mr. Harper proposes to cut the GST by 2 percent, which basically means that for every hundred dollars you will spend, you will save a whole friggin toonie! Isn't that fantastic? An extra few toonies here and there are well worth the price of deteriorating social programs, aren't they? On top of that, former leaders of the Mike Harris government have been elected as MPs. You remember, the party that single handedly tore apart OHIP and public education while running up the largest deficit in provinical history? Yeah, those guys.
While speaking of great tax breaks, this guy is actually proposing INCREASING income tax for those in the lowest income tax bracket. Why take more from those who don't have much to begin with? That sounds pretty evil to me.
Not to mention the possible attack on civil rights, Harper would like to re-visit gay marriage in an attempt to over turn it. One Conservative MP I know of (who thankfully wasn't elected) is a member of the biggest church run organization which wants to ban abortion.
Mr. Harper's approach to stopping gang related gun violence is to increase sentences and introduce mandatory minimums. While getting tougher on crime in itself may not be the worst idea, he is failing to recognize and address the root problems involved. Poverty being a big one. In most societies, as the class gaps increase, so does the crime rate. Looking at American cities more than verifies this.
So this is the Canada we face, one with it's civil rights in possible peril, it's social programs about to be cut or under funded, and the natural progress of the nation about to come to a halt.
Canadians did in fact vote for change, and not without reason, but the change they chose is probably the worst kind possible.
This isn't my Canada! |

the Provacateur (56% dark, 39% spontaneous, 44% vulgar) | your humor style: VULGAR | COMPLEX | DARK
You'll crack on anything, and you're often witty, even caustic, about it. Therefore, your sense of humor is polarizing. You're transgressive, and you've got a seriously sharp 'edge'--maybe too much for some folks.
If they get you, people think you're one of the funniest (and smartest) people in the world. If they don't, they think you're an ass. Whatever, right? While some might question your judgement, your comic intellect is unquestionably respected.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Chris Rock - Lenny Bruce - George Carlin
My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: | You scored higher than 46% on dark | | You scored higher than 34% on spontaneous | | You scored higher than 76% on vulgar |

Most bands are full of crap.
All I know is it is my talent, so why should I hide from it?
Why have I been given a skill which translates poorly when seeking financial security?
I am a fucking GREAT drummer.

Starving Artist You are 28% Rational, 14% Extroverted, 14% Brutal, and 57% Arrogant. | You are the Starving Artist! You are more intuitive than logical, and are primarily guided by your heart and emotions. You are also very introverted and gentle. Of course, this does not mean that you do not have an ego. In fact, you are surprisingly arrogant for someone so emotional and gentle. This is why you are best described as a starving artist. You are very introspective and quite sure of yourself, as any accomplished artist is, yet your views are impractical, emotional, and overly gentle. You probably find math, logic, and similar intellectual pursuits offensive to your artistic sensibilities, and you prefer the open-endedness of artistry because then you know you can never truly have a wrong answer. So really you have no reason to be arrogant, you big doofus, because the skills you value (emotion, spirit, art, etc.) in yourself are valuable only on a subjective level, meaning your arrogance is purely masturbatory. In short, your personality is defective because you are arrogant, introverted, introspective, gentle, and thoroughly irrational...posessing most of the traits needed to be a starving--and useless--artist. So get out there, write a few short stories that are allegories for the spirit, and starve!
To put it less negatively:
1. You are more INTUITIVE than rational.
2. You are more INTROVERTED than extroverted.
3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.
4. You are more ARROGANT than humble.
Compatibility:
Your exact opposite is the Capitalist Pig.
Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Haughty Intellectual, the Televangelist, and the Emo Kid.
*
*
If you scored near fifty percent for a certain trait (42%-58%), you could very well go either way. For example, someone with 42% Extroversion is slightly leaning towards being an introvert, but is close enough to being an extrovert to be classified that way as well. Below is a list of the other personality types so that you can determine which other possible categories you may fill if you scored near fifty percent for certain traits.
The other personality types:
The Emo Kid: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Starving Artist: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Bitch-Slap: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Brute: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.
The Hippie: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Televangelist: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Schoolyard Bully: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Class Clown: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.
The Robot: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Haughty Intellectual: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Spiteful Loner: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Sociopath: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.
The Hand-Raiser: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Braggart: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Capitalist Pig: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Smartass: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: | You scored higher than 10% on Rationality | | You scored higher than 12% on Extroversion | | You scored higher than 6% on Brutality | | You scored higher than 64% on Arrogance |
